


A long wet weekend in Spring is a perfect time to sort the pantry and ditch any ingredients you just know you won’t use and get rid of any kitchen equipment that is past its use by date – I have alot! DO-nut squirter, ravioli moulds, a spiraliser – the list goes on.
Finding a few antiques in the pantry such as my Mums old metal nutmeg grater, brings back memories of comfort food. The trusty Edmonds Cook Book – time worn but ridiculously easy as a one stop recipe shop. Its how we did it before Google.
My Mums Chocolate Mousse comes to mind. Pikelets. Sponge cakes. Coronation Chicken. Comfort food.
